To provide a rapid, resilient and effective disaster response to the thousands of people at risk following Typhoon Haiyan.
An immediate, positive impact upon short and long-term survival prospects for thousands of townspeople, villagers and inhabitants of more remote regions.
Following the impact of Typhoon Haiyan, the British Government's DFID Rapid Response Facility was activated and immediately purchased 3,500 LIFESAVER jerrycans. These were provided to the Royal Navy, Oxfam and Save the Children for distribution in the Philippines. In addition, the One Foundation funded the deployment of a C2 which was matched by LIFESAVER's own donation of a C2, demonstrating
the C2 suitability as a community based solution that can be deployed in an emergency
